CBD for anxiety
What it actually does, where it stops, and how it is different from a tranquilliser. Including the part most sellers leave out: when this is not the answer.
The state, not the diagnosis
Most people who write to us about anxiety are not describing a clinical diagnosis. They are describing a state: shoulders up by the ears, a chest that will not settle, a head running through conversations that have not happened yet.
That is the ground CBD works on. It acts on the endocannabinoid system, which regulates the stress response — so what it lowers is the baseline activation, the level you are running at before anything has even happened.
It is not euphoria and it is not sedation. People describe it as things stopping being so urgent.
Where it stops
CBD does not treat an anxiety disorder, it does not replace therapy, and it does not replace a prescription. If your anxiety stops you working, sleeping or leaving the house, what you need is a professional — and we will tell you so rather than sell you a bottle.
Where it does earn its place is alongside that: taking the edge off while the real work happens elsewhere.

How many drops
Same method as everything else here: start at five drops under the tongue, hold for a minute, same dose for three days before changing anything.
For anxiety, many people split it — half in the morning, half in the evening — instead of taking it all at once. A steady level through the day tends to beat one peak.
And give it two weeks. This is the use where the effect builds most slowly, and the people who give up on day three never find out whether it would have worked.
Which formula
The C, and only the C. The THC formulas are the wrong tool here: at a high dose THC can make anxiety worse rather than better, which is exactly what you are trying to avoid.
Common questions
What people ask about anxiety
Is it like taking a tranquilliser?
No. A benzodiazepine sedates: it acts fast, hard, and builds tolerance and dependence. CBD lowers the baseline activation without sedating you, which is why you can work after taking it — and why nobody should expect it to stop a panic attack in five minutes.
Will it make me drowsy at work?
At the right dose, no. If you feel heavy during the day you have taken too much: drop two or three. That drowsiness is a dosing signal, not the product's character.
Can I stop my medication and take this instead?
No. Never stop prescribed medication on your own, and especially not a psychiatric one — withdrawal can be dangerous. If you want to combine them, that is a conversation with your doctor, who also needs to know about the liver enzyme interaction.
Does it work for panic attacks?
It is not a rescue medicine. It does not act fast enough for that. What people report is fewer episodes and a lower baseline over weeks of steady use — which is a different thing and worth being clear about.
